Real Estate Photography Checklist

We photograph your listing to showcase it in the best possible way on the web.

While we may do some staging, we do not clean rooms or organize things, so it is important that the property is prepared in advance of our arrival.

The camera sees EVERYTHING. Here is a quick checklist to help you get organized for a photo shoot.

Yard:

Yard should be prepped as it would be for a showing.
Pool should be debris free.
Hoses and pool cleaners should be removed from pool.
Lawn should be mowed. Leaves raked.
Patio/Lanai floors should be dirt and dust free.
Patio Furniture should be clean. Covers should be removed.

Inside Home:

Home should be cleaned and staged as for a showing.
Check and fix all non-working light fixtures. IMPORTANT.
Clean windows and screens. IMPORTANT.
Declutter. Remove/hide:

  • Miscellaneous items from kitchen counters (use your own judgement here)
  • Refrigerator magnets
  • Electrical cords
  • Books & magazines
  • Pet dishes
  • Boxes
  • Toys
  • Brooms & other cleaning supplies & equipment
  • Hide garbage cans (inside & out)
  • Beds made extra neatly show up well.  Our hotel clients iron the bed-linens
Extras.

  • Consider procuring small flower arrangements, fresh fruit and loose tropical flowers.

REMEMBER: The cleanliness & neatness of the scenes we photograph impacts directly on the quality of our photography.

We can fix some things digitally after the fact at your request, but this is time intensive and can be costly.
